Deep Winter’s Rest

2026

A 7‑Week Seasonal Retreat to Release the Old Year and Prepare for the fire horse

If you’re feeling tired of pushing, tired of carrying what no longer fits, or aware that the coming year is asking something different of you—this retreat was created for this exact moment.

Deep Winter’s Rest begins January 30th-March 15th and is a 7‑week guided retreat, held primarily on Zoom, that helps you release the residue of past years, reconnect with your Higher Self, and prepare—steadily and sustainably—for the energy ahead.

This is about meeting yourself honestly, shedding what’s ready to fall away, and remembering how to move forward from a place of alignment.

If you recognize yourself in these words:

  • You feel the year turning, but you’re not sure how to prepare for it in a meaningful way

  • You’ve tried setting intentions in January, only to feel disconnected or exhausted by February

  • You sense a deeper version of yourself trying to emerge, but old roles, habits, or expectations are still clinging

  • You’re carrying emotional, energetic, or physical residue from previous years

  • You want change, but not through force, pressure, or burnout

    You’re standing at a threshold.

Where This Retreat Supports You to Go

By the end of Deep Winter’s Rest, participants often describe feeling:

  • Lighter—having released what no longer needs to be carried

  • Clearer about who they are becoming and what matters now

  • More connected to their intuition and inner authority

  • Better prepared to work with the energy of the year ahead rather than being pushed by it

  • Grounded in their body, rhythm, and sense of timing

This retreat helps you arrive at spring differently—not rushed, not depleted, but oriented and awake.

Why 2026 Timing Matters

Deep Winter’s Rest is intentionally aligned with powerful seasonal and energetic thresholds:

  • The Leo Full Moon — illuminating identity, truth, and creative fire

  • Imbolc (Feb 1–2) — the midpoint between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox, when life begins stirring beneath the surface

  • The transition into the Year of the Fire Horse — an intense, forward‑moving energy that requires awareness and containment

  • The Spring Equinox — balance, emergence, and re‑entry into the outer world

Rather than rushing intention‑setting on January 1st, this retreat honors the natural rhythm of release first, emergence second.

The Framework: Inanna’s Descent

This retreat is guided by the ancient myth of Inanna, the original goddess who descends into the underworld, passing through seven gates.

At each gate, she releases something she once relied on—status, power, identity, protection—until she stands fully stripped of pretense.

Each week of this retreat corresponds to one of those gates, offering:

  • A theme of release and inquiry

  • Gentle embodied practices

  • Space to notice how identity, power, and belief shift over time

This is not a story to analyze.
It’s a story that quietly mirrors lived experience.

How the Retreat Works
